We’ve been busy early this year propagating the hard to get dahlias like this Peaches’n Cream beauty. It’s a great way for us to max out on on the most elusive varieties like Castle Drive, Sweet Natalie and Linda’s Baby. We’re just wrapping up our first year of dahlia sales & hope to include these amazing dahlias in next year’s offerings.
After sailing the ocean blue for years, we settled, as sailors often do, on an island. As luck would have it, the islands’ mild maritime climate made it the perfect place to grow flowers.
Although we now plow through fields rather than waves, our close relationship with nature has prevailed and continues to inspire us. Like the old saying goes, “Bread feeds the body but flowers feed the soul”.
Thanks to a creative upbringing between an artist and an engineer, floral design and building floral structures came naturally to me. My past work as a researcher helps with trialing and propagating the zillions of seeds, bulbs & cuttings we use. The farm runs smoothly because my amazing husband can build and fix anything from a greenhouse to a tractor.
Fields of peonies, roses, sunflowers and more provide an abundant source of blooms for our unique arrangements. Naturally beautiful and sustainably grown, our flowers benefit the local economy and environment. Enjoy a bunch today!
Flowers available from April to October. Order online or call us directly; also for sale at the Orcas Food Coop after Mothers Day.
