Tough Cookies

“Oh Happy Day!” Rose One of the many joys of flower farming is trying out some new plants every year. This beauty is from the Kordes Eleganza series which are truly outstanding field grown roses. These varieties are not only stunning but have an ADR rating for their excellent disease resistance. That’s the German Gold Medal for endurance! Apparently they’re run through a gauntlet of trials for three years. Kick in the fact that these roses are grown on their own roots rather than grafted and you’ve got some really tough cookies. In fact, if I were naming this rose, it would be called “Tough Cookie”.
